About HockeyChamps

HockeyChamps is an independent field hockey platform. We write about international hockey, FIH rankings, tournaments, techniques, gear and YouTube channels. We are not a federation, club, or sponsor of any team.

Using the website

You may read content on HockeyChamps for free and share it on social media with attribution. Not permitted without prior written consent:

Republishing entire articles on other websites.
Commercial reuse of content.
Automated scraping (other than via our RSS feed).
Republishing our database (rankings, matches) as a data product.

Intellectual property

All editorial content, photos, illustrations, charts and code are owned by HockeyChamps or their respective creators. Logos, names and crests of federations, clubs or tournaments are owned by those organizations; we display them only in a journalistic context.

YouTube thumbnails and metadata are displayed under the YouTube API Services Terms of Service. Ownership remains with the channel owner.

Content disclaimer

We strive to provide accurate information, but:

Statistics and rankings are automatically updated and may temporarily differ from official sources.
Match schedules and results are corrected as quickly as possible when the organization makes changes.
Tactical analyses, watch tips and previews are the editorial team's opinion, not predictions or advice.
Instructional content (techniques, drills) is general in nature and does not replace guidance from a certified coach. Always train within your own abilities.

Community account (coming soon)

Once the community feature is live, additional house rules apply:

You are responsible for what you publish (comments, posts, bio).
No hateful, abusive, discriminatory or illegal content.
No spam, chain letters, ads, or links to phishing or malware.
No impersonation of other people or official accounts (FIH, KNHB, federations).
One account per person.

In case of violation we may remove content, suspend or terminate the account, without refund or compensation. We report serious violations to relevant authorities.

You retain copyright on what you publish, but grant HockeyChamps a worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, index and distribute your content on the platform and related channels (RSS, social media, email notifications).

Liability

HockeyChamps strives to keep the website available but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We are not liable for:

Damage from outages, downtime or data loss.
Decisions made based on content on the platform.
Third-party content we link to.
Indirect or consequential damages.

Our total liability is in all cases limited to compensation of direct damages up to a maximum of € 250.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced on the homepage and, for community members, by email.
