Vote for the FIH Poligras Magic Skill Award 2025-2026
The seventh season of the FIH Hockey Pro League is done, with Belgium crowned champions in the men's competition and the Netherlands closing out the women's tournament in style. For the fans there is one last thing to do before the book is closed for good: vote for the finest individual moment of the season. To that end the international hockey federation FIH opened voting for the Poligras Magic Skill Award, with six nominated plays that surprised audiences worldwide.
What is the Poligras Magic Skill Award
The Poligras Magic Skill Award is a fan award that each Pro League season crowns the most striking individual hockey play. The prize is named after Poligras, the hockey turf made by Polytan (part of Sport Group) on which the Pro League, among others, is played and which at the LA28 Olympic Games will serve as the official surface for the ninth time.
Want to feel in your own backyard how such a fast, watered hockey surface plays? Just put down a hockey pitch in your own garden. But that aside. Before you get to that, first cast your vote for your favourite play from the shortlist of six nominees, three among the women and three among the men.
The nominees in the women's competition
Three plays represent the women's tournament:
- Xan de Waard (Team Netherlands), with the play "Steal and Show"
- Tess Howard (Team England), with "Majestic Tess"
- Steph Kershaw (Team Australia), with "Classy Finish"
The nominees in the men's competition
Among the men, three other moments compete for the title:
- Arthur Van Doren (Team Belgium), with "Van Doren's Magical Pass"
- David Goodfield (Team England), with "David's Good'Smash"
- Olivier Hortensius (Team Netherlands), with "Dribble Trouble"
Will the Dutch walk away with this cool award? You can vote until 11 July 2026.
